After more than twenty years working behind the scenes on major tours — serving as head of security and assisting tour management for artists including Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Rick James, Post Malone, and Lil Dicky — Oat Potter finally stepped forward creatively to tell a story of his own.
Life on the road offered a front-row education in pressure, rhythm, and human behavior. Long nights, constant motion, and high-stakes environments shaped a perspective that doesn’t rely on polish or performance. Cowboy Blues reflects that experience — music born from observation, restraint, and time spent listening rather than being seen.
Rooted in American blues and western grit, Oat Potter’s songwriting leans into simplicity and honesty. These songs aren’t chasing trends or spotlight. They’re meant for long drives, quiet rooms, and the moments when the noise finally drops away.
This isn’t a reinvention.
It’s a natural extension of a life lived close to the music — and finally expressed.
